Tess is an experienced network executive producer with a track record of developing and delivering high-rating series and formats for UK and international broadcasters.
Tess was formerly Creative Director at Boomerang Television. Whilst at the Welsh indie she created and delivered three series of Channel 4’s ratings and commercial hit ‘Posh Pawn’. Other commissions included the pop doc series ‘Bargain Fever Britain’ for ITV.
Before Boomerang Tess was a Senior Commissioning Editor at UKTV where her credits include daytime chef vehicle ‘Market Kitchen Big Adventure’; hidden camera entertainment format ‘Tarrant Lets The Kids Loose’, home makeover format ‘Ty Pennington’s Homes for Heroes’, extreme game show ‘Scream if you know the Answer’ and three series of comedy panel show ‘Argumental’ for Dave. Prior to this, Tess was an executive producer at North One Television with credits including constructed documentary series ‘The Singing Estate’ (C5) and ‘Asbo Teen to Beauty Queen’ (C5) and before that Endemol where she was executive producer on reality shows Channel Five’s The Farm and Fit Farm for Channel 4 amongst other projects.
Gareth has worked in the Welsh TV industry for over 20 years. As Managing Director of Boomerang, Gareth grew the company to become one of the Nation’s leading indies with a wealth of long running hits including C4’s ‘Posh Pawn’, ‘The Clare Balding Show’ on the BBC and the ground-breaking global brand funded show ‘GT Academy’.
Gareth was part of the team responsible for floating the Cardiff based Boomerang + PLC business on AIM in 2007. He understands the challenges of managing and growing a nations independent and leading a strong creative team.
As Managing Director of Nimble Dragon, Gareth has, over the past year, established the company as a key voice in the Welsh creative scene, with solid links with local and network broadcasters and a strong business foundation.
Head of daytime and features
Before joining Nimble Dragon, Sharon Bennett was Head of Blink Films Wales and executive produced new formats, Let’s Get a Good Thing Going for BBC 1, Steph and Dom’s 1 Star to 5 Star and Collection Hunters for C4. Prior to this she was an Executive Producer at Boomerang where she was responsible for the first series of Extreme Cake Makers, which won best daytime series at the Broadcast awards, Flat Pack Mansions, and two series of Posh Pawn.
Other previous credits include Gogglebox, Come Dine with Me, Four in a Bed, Coach Trip, Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners for Channel 4 and Wanted in Paradise, The Great British Bake Off, Bargain Hunt, Flog it! and The One Show for BBC.
Rob joined Channel 4 in 2001. As Finance Manager for 4 Rights, Channel 4’s commercial business, over ten years Rob managed one of the largest independent Programme investment funds in the UK, investing in some of Channel 4’s most iconic programmes and series including Shackleton; Shameless; Green Wing and The Joe Simpson films The Beckoning Silence and Touching The Void. In 2011 he developed the unique funding model for the hugely successful Inbetweeners Movie which went on to be the UK’s most successful comedy film.
More recently, Rob has concentrated on Finance Director appointments in entrepreneurial / start-up companies within the creative industry including Nimble Dragon.
Head of production
Katy’s production management experience of 20 years spans many genres including Factual, Entertainment, Sport, and Drama. Prior to joining Nimble Dragon Katy was Production Executive for Blink Films and before that Boomerang, running many successful productions including Channel 4’s Posh Pawn and Extreme Cake Makers. Katy started her career at the BBC, working in various areas of programming and on long running series including DIY SOS: The Big Build and Doctor Who Confidential.
